The new record that Thomas Atlas has released features funk and blues at its most striking level, and it was recorded live in the legendary Jam House in Birmingham, where Thomas was born and raised (not in the venue, but in the city).
This album is a gift from beginning to end, and it presents Thomas’s prior self-titled album in a whole new light while also being a gift in its own right. Up rocks, Thomas with a tapered delivery, and the audience cheers enthusiastically. It hits a chord with us when he performs some of his biggest tracks to this point, which he does while charming his way through the audience.
The album left us wishing we could have been in attendance and also has us eager to witness it again whenever he is next playing out. Vocally powerful and a natural performer on stage, Thomas also reminds us why this genre will never get old!
